I'm back from BlogHer, and I want to post all about how I slept with Melissa, among other things, but I'm too tired. And weak. And my head hurts too much. It's been almost 48 hours since I had a drink and I still want to die.
if i told you this i apologize (i mean i was drunk), but i hadn't had tequila since valentine's day 1991 when i licked salt off of some fella's neck and sucked the lemon out of his mouth.
It was very cool to meet you, Finslippy.I have never met a blog-ebrity before and I will now be the envy of many of my friends - you shook my hand! (sorry, I DID have to wash it, though)
Tequila?? Good grief. I was hanging with the wrong crowd, apparently. :-)
I loved meeting you in person. I enjoyed talking to you at the after conference cocktail party. In one of the pictures floating around it looks like I am puckering up to lean over and kiss you (or steal your drink.) By that point, it was probably drink stealing, but you never know.
Wow. Jealous. All the great bloggers in one place, and of course I was not there.
Kinda like being in Jr. High again and watching the cool crowd at the other table, this time though, the cool crowd is being watched via Flickr slideshows via the web.
i feel i am going to have to pull a melissa and cry a little for the millionth time since being home. it was wonderful AND sad thinking that it may never happen again with the same wonderful ladies. shebloggers are the bestest, we missed those who coudn't come.
I know I claimed the highlight of my weekend was your "radical act" line. But honestly? Your one-liner about the hotel workers was better. I always thought you were the funniest writer. Now I know you are the funniest human.
So far I've read Heather's account of BlogHer plus another account but I've forgotten whose (I'm so embarrassed) and I must say it looked like a blast. I never go to any of these things because I don't feel like I'm 'blogger' enough to go.
BTW, that one hat: was it upset that you took its picture? I mean it looked like a YetiHat!
Alice. You are also mommyblogger and you are also totally hot. If I was a lesbian I would totally want to go out with you. I am not a lesbian though. Instead I will follow you around like a starstruck groupie waiting for you to say something funny and cool, which happens a lot.

Am. So. Jealous.
Am living vicariously through pictures. I only licked the screen once, though, I promise.

We want details. We want pictures you would be humiliated to show a guy on a plane.

Why so brief? We need DETAILS! We need details specific enough so we can insert ourselves in the stories and pretend we went too!

You tried to warn me what a lightweight you were, you weren't kidding. I even had a margarita and a beer on my travels home.

Looks like you had a blast, with hats.

I know, I know, I'm ashamed of myself for not managing to say hello at BlogHer.

All of you awesome bloghers at one place. And now I have the pictures. I may have to sleep with my laptop tonight.

I love your hair. I love it so much that I'm going to print one of Heather's pictures and take it to my stylist. Today.
Okay, maybe this weekend.

I want a second gathering, a top-secret conclave where we dish on everyone who's not lucky enough to be invited. I believe I will call it SlagHer.

Posted by: Busy Mom | August 03, 2005 at 12:19 PM
dude, BlogHer was SlagHer. :-) Although we said nice things about Julie so maybe not.
I am not a lesbian and would still totally make out with you.

I really wanted to go but, alas, could not afford it since I went to Portugal this year and met the glorious Lioness. Maybe next year.
Posted by: DM | August 03, 2005 at 09:37 PM
JenB, we'll have to talk about Sat. night because apparently there are some things you don't remember.
