Because if Scott had been able to upload this to our computer and send it to me in Amsterdam, I would surely have sprouted wings and flapped my way back to Brooklyn.

Oh, man...
That is the cutest thing I've seen since...well, since an hour ago when I dropped my own 3 yo at preschool. But he's cuter by far than any of the 3 yo boys we know!
"We love you baby!" I love preschoolers...

You are a lucky girl. :)

Aw! The cuteness! its keeeeeeeeeeeeeeelling me!
Posted by: Lessa | March 02, 2006 at 10:54 AM
Oh my lord. I just melted into a puddle. That's gonna stain the carpet.
Posted by: Mir | March 02, 2006 at 10:58 AM
Aww, I have been teary-eyed since leaving my son at daycare this morning. You just pushed me right over the edge! Henry is indeed a cutie of the highest order. "We love you baby!" Argh, my heart hurts.

what a doll!
Posted by: wix | March 02, 2006 at 11:34 AM
Don't you just love it when they are thinking so hard about what they're saying & stammer over their words & have to start a sentence over in their little sing-song voices?
You're right, you'd have been on the next plane home if you'd seen that. . .
Posted by: Terry | March 02, 2006 at 11:34 AM
I'm kvelling.
Posted by: Mom101 | March 02, 2006 at 11:40 AM
I think... yes... I do believe Henry has the power to make me ovulate. A-freaking-DORABLE.
Posted by: mom on a wire | March 02, 2006 at 11:50 AM

Too cute!
Posted by: Busy Mom | March 02, 2006 at 12:24 PM
Oh good grief. That kind of video should be banned from the internet. GEEZ! It makes me need a munchkin to hold and I AM AT WORK.
Posted by: TW | March 02, 2006 at 12:24 PM
Oh. My. God. You really should have put a cuteness warning on that thing! "We love you baby!" I just died from cute overload!
Posted by: Jenn | March 02, 2006 at 12:37 PM
Aw, he's so funny. I never realized how much he looks like you! He really looks like you in that video. (Or at least the pictures of you.)
Posted by: ozma | March 02, 2006 at 12:41 PM
That crushed and melted and blended me all at once. Bay-bee!
Posted by: Kristin | March 02, 2006 at 12:43 PM
ohhhh......baaaaaabe!
Posted by: Amy | March 02, 2006 at 12:51 PM
Okay, this is an Interweb milestone...I totally just teared up watching that video. Your son's adorableness did what even the most noxious of onions or the most maudlin of Lifetime movies have heretofore failed to do. And? I'm totally not even PMS-ing. KEY-YUTE!
Posted by: weaker vessel | March 02, 2006 at 01:07 PM
My ovaries just exploded.
Posted by: Erin | March 02, 2006 at 01:11 PM
OMG, that is so adorable! "We love you, baby!"
Posted by: iheartnewyork | March 02, 2006 at 01:18 PM
OMALORD, that's cute. Good thing you didn't get it in Amsterdam or you would have collapsed in a pool of tears. (Which I did not just do. Seriously.)
Posted by: madge | March 02, 2006 at 01:25 PM
Ding dang, that's the sweetest thing I've seen in days!
Posted by: kelly | March 02, 2006 at 01:44 PM
Aaaaahhhhh.
Posted by: M&Co. | March 02, 2006 at 02:09 PM
That's the kind of precious that leaves a permanent mark on your heart. God! I miss having little boys that age!
Posted by: wordgirl | March 02, 2006 at 02:22 PM

Posted by: kate | March 02, 2006 at 02:22 PM

Dear God, I do believe my ovaries just went splat.

We're having some yuchy weather in Brooklyn today - wet slush. It made for picking up my 2 yr old from pre-school (with my 7 mos old in tow) a harrowing experience. So after many tears from both babies that left me gritting my teeth for an hour, it's nice to genuinely smile at a toddler again...how gorgeous. My favorite is actually from your husband "what he said" - that just about killed me. The love is palpable.
Posted by: pamelar | March 02, 2006 at 02:58 PM
That's completely adorable. Yup. I would have headed back, too.
Posted by: Caryn | March 02, 2006 at 03:00 PM
How precious. How could you leave him?
Posted by: kenju | March 02, 2006 at 03:30 PM
Hi Babe,
We missed you too. We're glad you're home and you can tell us all about your adventures in Amsterdam. We love you, bab-eee.
Man, that is one cute kiddo! Dad ain't bad either!
Posted by: margalit | March 02, 2006 at 03:31 PM
Oh, how your boys work their mojo. They're going to have to come with warning labels now, you know.
Posted by: Aj | March 02, 2006 at 03:37 PM
Oh my goodness, how freakin' adorable! I love it! :-)
Thanks so much for sharing, totally made my day.
Posted by: Wendy Mac | March 02, 2006 at 03:57 PM
aaaaaaawwwwwwwwwww. that'd make me start flapping my way back!
Posted by: honestyrain | March 02, 2006 at 03:58 PM
WE LOVE YOU, BABY!
I love them BOTH. Good gosh.
Posted by: Belinda | March 02, 2006 at 04:25 PM
Have you ever heard SJ Parker talk about her son? I swear Henry and he must be very similar - he supposedly acts like a little man and says anachronistic things like "love ya baby".
strange comparison, i know.
Posted by: Rebecca | March 02, 2006 at 04:26 PM
Alice. Look at how many people you've killed or made wet themselves, probably at work, without a change of pants. Or grown extra non-human parts, jeez.
I could say shame on you. But then...think of the power? Yes, smithers, yes, excellent.
(clearly i am unable to see media images at work, or you would have another throwing up/peeing myself comment. But I do recall him as being rather fetching, so go you!)
Posted by: lis | March 02, 2006 at 04:32 PM
very sweet.
Posted by: Ceece | March 02, 2006 at 04:38 PM
That rocks more than the sound of 10,000 hands clapping.
Posted by: Dorothy | March 02, 2006 at 04:58 PM
As my 2 year old would say "oh my goodness"
that was beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing it with all of us.
Hope the trip was great and the real estate woes diminished some.
Posted by: LizRM | March 02, 2006 at 05:00 PM
holy god.
that would melt the coldest, dead-est heart. ;)
Posted by: Sarcomical | March 02, 2006 at 05:27 PM
That was the sweetest most precious thing ever - Babe!
Posted by: Carrie | March 02, 2006 at 08:33 PM
Holy shit, so cute!
Posted by: Sara | March 02, 2006 at 09:13 PM
like anyone's going to read this far but, OH, OH, my OH-varies! the PAIN. too, too adorable. i think you should keep them both.
Posted by: kristin | March 02, 2006 at 09:24 PM
Keepers both!
Made me think of when my now-5-year-old went though a phase when he called me "honey."
Sigh. I miss those days...
Glad you're enjoying Amsterdam!
Posted by: Angela | March 02, 2006 at 09:56 PM
Oh my God. If you get tired of him, can I have him for a while?
My daughter just learned, "Morning!" in her cheerfullest voice and every day it kills me dead.
Posted by: Jackie Joy | March 02, 2006 at 10:58 PM
What a perfect family you have! And your husband's laugh is perfectly between laugh and giggle -- plus he's hot and so are you. And your son's ruby lips kill me! Man he looks like you! That was such an adorable video it seriously brought tears to my eyes. Glad you're having such a fabulous time on your trip! I saw the pics on Melissa's site -- very cool!
Posted by: Jessica | March 02, 2006 at 11:10 PM
You are loved. It doesn't get better than that my dear.
