sounds like a habitrail.

Impressive. That must be some inherited skill or something.

Huh. I'm in a rut myself. Guess I should just explore it? ;)

Definitely adding "hard hat with flashlight thingy" to the shopping list. And some power bars.

It's so easy down there in a rut, just letting it guide you along. I understand completely.

A few weeks ago...

Abel: What's wrong?
Me: I'm just in a funk.
Lucas (age 2): Fu*k, fu*k, fu*k
Me: (Laughter) Guess that fixed it.

Too bad he doesn't have a stinky book to keep him company down there in that network of ruts-ville.

HEY!! Maybe THAT's how the book got stinky!!

'Rut Spelunker' sounds just dirty enough to be a passable name for a p0rn flick. Note to self...

So...he's in a rut rut?

He better be careful or it could end with him having to chew his arm off.

I laughed so hard.

Wait, Scott is as brilliantly hilarious as you and Henry? Can I plant a bug in your house just to listen in on random funny conversations?

Wow! Sounds just like a conversation from my house!

Very funny :-)

So it's rutting season all the time for Scott? Lucky you!

I thought for sure this post was heading for Rutt's Hut.

I think January is the official Rut month.

I can totally relate to rut spelunking.
Men love to be in ruts, see no need whatsoever to get out of them. I think it's the main reason they marry. Got the woman, got the remote, life is good...

Call Roto-Rutter.

Also, I'm really sorry you're having head pain. I hope you feel better soon.

Just how deep is he by now? He sounds content to roll in the ruts, but on the chance he may want to surface I fear the worst.

Sounds like his ruts at least keep things interesting! My ruts never move around or lead to different ruts.

Just remember to make sure the rope is long enough!

Sometimes if you follow the rut long enough, it leads somewhere!

That sounds like such a healthy approach! I occasionally worry about ruts, but now, I think I'll try exploring. or at least when people make fun of me for having what we call a "routine" i'll just say I'm spelunking

brilliant. And, somehow, reassuring.

Self knowledge is a beautiful thing.
