Your typical Sunday afternoon crazy dancing. from Alice Bradley on Vimeo.
He was dancing for a full ten minutes before I realized I should go get the camera.
I guarantee that if you have a small child, they will find this video to be the pinnacle of hilarity. Get yourself a small child, and find out for yourself!

Excellent Sunday Afternooning!

Bananas!!!
How much of his halloween candy did he get into today? ROFL. My now 8yo never did this; I never realized what I was missing out on! Totally jealous of Henry's crazy oz oz dancing now.

He's just plain awesome.
Posted by: jenny | November 23, 2008 at 04:58 PM
I hope you're planning to play this for his prom date someday!
Posted by: Lauren | November 23, 2008 at 05:01 PM
Cute! Lol. My daugter (1 y.o.) loves to dance, too. Isn't is so much fun to watch them?? :)
Posted by: Margo | November 23, 2008 at 05:07 PM
Crazy Oz-Ah? Nice... Good name, and great dancing! Gotta love it.
Posted by: jennyonthespot | November 23, 2008 at 05:09 PM
Clearly, you messed with his mojo by asking questions. My favorite is when he freezes and looks back over his shoulder. Very Vogue.
I have small kids and yes, this was hilarious. Seems when mine start acting cute, they stop as soon as the camera comes out. That's right, my kids are cute but I can't prove it.
Posted by: Em | November 23, 2008 at 05:17 PM
I have one of those!! My son is exactly like that.
Posted by: Lara | November 23, 2008 at 05:21 PM
I strongly suggest you keep this kid around. He's quite entertaining.
Posted by: Rhi | November 23, 2008 at 05:23 PM
Oh, dear. The cocked eyebrow was just too much. Your son must marry my daughter so that we can both have an entire tribe of crazy-dancing grandchildren.
Posted by: Gretchen | November 23, 2008 at 05:27 PM
you have to play this at his wedding.
Posted by: lindsey | November 23, 2008 at 05:27 PM
Not only is he cute and quite entertaining, he has GORGEOUS eyes (in a little boy kind of way). He's going to be a lady-killer in about 10-15 years.
Posted by: Kelley | November 23, 2008 at 05:37 PM
That turn Henry does is 100% brilliant.
Posted by: Sarah | November 23, 2008 at 05:37 PM
Better than my typical Sunday evening!

=) Kids, you gotta love em. Right?
Posted by: Summer Saldana | November 23, 2008 at 05:45 PM
You and Henry have a perfect understanding of each other. Which explains all the awesomeness.
And, WOW, what a handsome boy!
Posted by: LemonySarah | November 23, 2008 at 05:50 PM
Oh my goodness, this was exactly what I needed today to stop me from murdering my own crazy dancing "fourandaHALF" year old.
Thank you Alice.

Love the eybrow. Your son is an absolute riot. Wonder where he gets that from?
Posted by: Spandrel Studios | November 23, 2008 at 06:25 PM
Hilarious! Reminds me that I need to see if I can find the cassettes of the "radio" show my brother and I recorded when we were little. Ah, the Nutsy Putsy Poodle Show...
Posted by: Molly | November 23, 2008 at 06:37 PM
luca loved this!! he wishes he was crazy dancing with henry!
Posted by: aubrey | November 23, 2008 at 06:48 PM
Okay, yes. Cute child. Very cute child. And Lula loved it too. But what startles me is how tidy your house is. Is it always that tidy?
Posted by: Sarah Y | November 23, 2008 at 06:52 PM
He has as much energy as my 4 1/2 yr old! He is so cute!
Posted by: Julie Mead | November 23, 2008 at 07:13 PM
If one did not already have a small child(ren), he would be powerful incentive to acquire one. That single raised eyebrow...how do you ever scold him for anything?
Posted by: Cyndi | November 23, 2008 at 07:15 PM
Can I suggest you dub that with "Old Time Rock and Roll" and call it Risky Business with Henry?
Posted by: Lorrie | November 23, 2008 at 07:19 PM
Too funny. I love your commentary part way through too. My 1.5 year old daughter had to come take a look when she heard what he was doing - lol :)
Posted by: Carmen | November 23, 2008 at 07:25 PM
He is adorable. He must've been dancing to the music in his head, until there at the end!
Posted by: jean | November 23, 2008 at 07:34 PM
2 things:
1. Did that remind you at all of the Fatboy Slim "Weapon of Choice" video where Christopher Walken is dancing all around? Because it totally reminded me of that. In a little boy dancing around the house sort of way.
2. Your floor is really beautiful.
Posted by: Tara | November 23, 2008 at 07:45 PM
Oh my. I want him. He is absolutely adorable!
Posted by: derfina | November 23, 2008 at 07:49 PM
Scarily enough, that is almost EXACTLY what my son was doing this afternoon, too. Only with less awesome eyebrowness.
Posted by: Velma | November 23, 2008 at 08:05 PM
I'm really impressed with his Moonwalk. I grew up with that dance and I STILL can't do it.
Posted by: Lori | November 23, 2008 at 08:09 PM
I must be a boy mom, because the first thing I noticed was the lightsaber on the table! Very cute, he'd fit in well here!
Posted by: Esther | November 23, 2008 at 08:44 PM
my small child concurred. quite hilarious!
Posted by: melissa s. | November 23, 2008 at 09:01 PM
Yes, that *is* how we spend our Sunday afternoons! We saw a lot of very similar dancing today, in fact, with a few butt wiggling numbers at the dinner table. Henry is very cute!
Posted by: Jordan | November 23, 2008 at 09:23 PM
So THIS is the after effects of high fructose corn syrup!
He's adorable!
Posted by: Sprite's Keeper | November 23, 2008 at 09:24 PM
Reminds me of Mike Myers!
Posted by: Jane Baker | November 23, 2008 at 09:30 PM
Oh my, I think Your son and my son may have been separated at birth.
Posted by: Kristine | November 23, 2008 at 09:48 PM
He's channeling Jon Cryer from Pretty in Pink. He'd make a great "Ducky"!
Posted by: Jules | November 23, 2008 at 09:58 PM
Hey, who needs small children? I'm 42 and this made me indescribably happy. (Er, but just so that doesn't sound creepy, I DO have kids. My youngest will be 11 on Saturday. And she's STILL a complete nut. So don't expect Henry to outgrow that anytime soon. You're welcome.)
Posted by: Badger | November 23, 2008 at 10:05 PM
I especially love the part when he pauses and looks back over his shoulder at you after coming closer to the camera. What a riot, and what a very handsome boy. You're going to have to beat the little girls off with a stick!
Posted by: jenalda | November 23, 2008 at 10:07 PM
My 23 month old wiggled while we watched and declared "Dancing!" with a big smile.
Thanks for sharing.
Posted by: Gina | November 23, 2008 at 10:45 PM
Somehow this made me feel much, much better about the insane 5 year old that lives at my house and does the EXACT SAME DANCE every single day. Five year olds are weird.
Posted by: Adrienne | November 23, 2008 at 10:47 PM
Yup. That about looks like my afternoon.
Posted by: Lynn in Tucson | November 23, 2008 at 11:00 PM
We are all dying over here, small child, husband, ok, not the cat, but me as well. I love this so much.
Posted by: jenB | November 23, 2008 at 11:03 PM
First of all, I remember dancing like this as a child. Not sure what that says about either of us but it's true. Also, LOVE THE GANGSTA SAG. Nice touch.
Posted by: merlotmom | November 23, 2008 at 11:49 PM
I totally have a woman for him over here.
Posted by: Bethany | November 24, 2008 at 12:24 AM
Get that boy to a STAGE!
That's pure joy in a wiggle, that there.
Posted by: K | November 24, 2008 at 01:42 AM
I think I am in love with his delighful eyebrows.
Posted by: Bethany Zabrosky | November 24, 2008 at 03:37 AM
Woohoo! That is some great blackmail material right there!
Posted by: TitanKT | November 24, 2008 at 07:00 AM
I feel like he watched Manah Manah, couldn't quite grasp what was going on with the crazy muppets, and felt that "crazy Oza" dancing was the only way to solve this.
Posted by: Ally | November 24, 2008 at 07:53 AM
Broadway choreographer? Oswald hmmm.... he's adorable!
Posted by: starrlife | November 24, 2008 at 08:00 AM
I, too, thought of Manah Manah. I thought he was doing a fantastic human impersonation of that fuschia-haired muppet. Loved it.
