Right back at ya Alice!

Happy Everything to you too! Good luck with the book thing, it is THE best excuse for putting your blog on the back burner for a while.

Sandee

Miss you already. :(

I don't know what the heck a noogie is, what with being German and all, but thanks! Right back at ya!
Enjoy the holidays, and we'll all be here when you come back.

Frohe Weihnachten!

I'll miss your posts, Alice. Just don't disappear completely like "Looky Daddy!" did. :( Have a Merry and Happy...see you in 2110 (wasn't it JUST 2000 and the start of the millennium?)

Pinkie Bling

Calamity Jill

Enjoy yourself and your fam. Breathe deep.

Oh, authors and their work!

Good luck on the book and the holidays.

Bee Tee Dub, I wanted to let you know that I found "The Sun" because of you and thoroughly enjoyed it. Gracias.

Beth M.

We love you, too! :)

Alice,

I just watched the "Flippin' Tired" momversation and I could not stop laughing at your segments. The toast situation seriously brought me to tears. I even had to rewind it to watch it again. I have a 10-month-old daughter (my first) and that just totally brought back those first few months of utter exhaustion. Thanks for the laugh. I have just bookmarked finslippy. Oh, and I also saw your piece in Redbook! Well done!

The noogie hurt a little, but that's just simply all right. Happy writing and GOOD LUCK with the book. Will look forward to posts in 2010.

Now, don't you feel better? Go breathe a sigh of relief that we all took that so well, because frankly we love you to pieces too! Did you breathe? Good.
Now, on to the tinsel!

Elsa

Alice, I kept coming back to your previous entry, and re-reading it, and writing comments...

... and deleting them, because there is nothing I can say. Every time I read it, I found myself holding my breath, waiting for the feelings to come washing over me. Different feelings every time. Sorrow for your pain, sorrow for my (different) pain, sorrow for the (different again) pain of dear friends.

And happiness, too, for all of us for finding the joy that we have present in our lives.

Aaaaand here I am, holding my breath again as I type, waiting for the onslaught.

Happy holidays, happy blog-break, and thank you.

astridmaria

I adore you just because you use words like strew tinsel. It makes me giggle for some odd reason.

themeansister

Happy new year Alice! Thanks for the noogie, I needed that :)

Amy

Happy Christmas :) Long time reader, first time commenter here (Ha! always wanted to say that).. and I just wanted to say: thanks for your frank and honest (and funny! so very funny) outlooks. I personally connected with you (like so many other women) through the story of your miscarriage. Your words may as well have been my words. Thank you for saying things that I have only been able to feel.
Can't wait to see what 2010 has in store for you!

maggie may

Merry and Merry, and thank you for your writing.

Kate @ And Then I Was a Mom

Happiest of holidays. And may the tinsel you strew never need vacuuming. (If you do find such self-vanishing tinsel, please write.)

mom-101

Enjoy your time off, lady. It's very well-deserved.

(Although of course you'll be needing to prove just how productive you've been with your time off come January. The first 400 pages or so of your manuscript will do.)

Laura

And to you and yours! I do appreciate you sharing your thoughts and words out here in the Internets.
Best,
L

Happy New Year!

I find myself with a few weeks off here at the end of 2009 and decided to go visiting my old bloggy haunts. Thinking of taking it up again myself, the blogging thing. So I dusted off my Google Reader and stopped by to say Happy New Year. When you write, I'll be here to read. It's always satisfying, like a hot cup of coffee on a cold morning.

Be well!

amy

Enjoy your holidays!! Hope you had a great Christmas, enjoy a wonderful New Year's and get your book done! *hugs*
